Play like a MVP in the VIP

Is your dog anxious and more comfortable being on their own? Is your dog selective when it comes to friends? If so, a private play space might be just what you need!

Private dog park rentals can be a great way for your pup to receive the exercise and enrichment they need, all while limiting both of your stress and anxiety levels. They are like the VIP versions of public dog parks. Here are three benefits of using a private play space:

  1. Safety and Control

When using a private play space, it could just be you and your dog. Picture it, a large fenced-in yard with no dogs running up on you, less distractions. A little piece of doggo heaven! This is especially useful for dogs that may not get along well with other pups or just prefer to be alone/in small groups. At dog parks, there is a risk of encountering dogs with unfavorable and/or dangerous behaviors since these parks are open to the general public with little to no oversight. You as an owner also will be able to have more control over the environment.

  2. Reduced Stress and Anxiety

Some dogs, especially those that are shy or anxious, could really benefit from having their own space. It can be overwhelming to be around other pups who may not understand boundaries, or even being in busy parks with traffic and people all around. A private space can help these dogs to romp around and let their hair down!

  3. Better Socialization Opportunities

We should aim to create positive experiences with other dogs and people for proper socialization. With having access to a private play space, you're able to hand pick the companions that will join in on the playtime. You can invite dogs who are familiar with yours, have compatible play styles, dog parents who understand and respect the boundaries you set for your dog's well-being, and even choose the group size. This reduces the risk of trauma that can be caused by bullying and dog fights and even just picking up on unwanted behaviors.
